
Mary is currently Director of Nursing Quality & Clinical services at Our Lady’s Hospice & Care services since 2016. She was previously employed in the Health Service Executive (HSE) as Director of Nursing for services for older people. She has extensive experience in corporate and clinical leadership and management both in Ireland and England.
Within the HSE she realigned services and the way they were delivered and been the driving force to developing new roles to improve efficiencies. In all of her work she sets high standards of practice where the service user is always to the forefront. She has developed a number of service initiatives, new nursing roles and implemented strategic projects locally and regionally.
In her current role she has responsibility for a number of inpatient services and community services in South Dublin .Mary’s professional and academic qualifications include a being a Registered General and Psychiatric Nurse and she holds an MSc in Healthcare Management. Mary was appointed adjunct associate professor at the UCD school of Nursing Midwifery and Health in 2015. She has completed an advanced diploma in coaching.
