Background:
A dynamic and professional Housing Association with offices on the Norwood, Santry, currently have an opportunity available for an Accounts Assistant to take up a 6 – 8 month contract (maternity cover) position within their finance team.
Job Description:
Working as part of a busy team and reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will involve assisting with the following responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger
- Review and post supplier invoices to Finance system
- Administer and distribute invoices to relevant mangers for approval
- Check invoices have correct approval and correct code assigned
- Monitor and report on the return of invoices for month end
- Investigating and resolving supplier queries
- Maintain and update Accounts Payable control sheet
- Supplier set up on Finance and Banking System
- Monthly supplier reconciliations and resolution of queries in a timely manner
- Prepare payments runs & EFTS on Banking system
Bank and Cash
- Assist with Identification of Bank transactions and allocate to correct codes
- Enter transactions to Finance System
- Bank Reconciliation
- Posting of cash book journals to Finance System
- Monitor and process company credit card expenditure
Debtors
- Raising Debtor invoices and statements
- Credit Control
- Aged Debtor Reporting
Other
- Assist with month end reporting and procedures
- Assist with Internal and external audit queries
- Assis with t Accounts Analysis
- Assist with the provision of any other information requests as directed by management
- To carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested
- Assist Finance Team with other duties as required
